STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
INDIAN LAKE HIGH SCHOOL
TUESDAY, APRIL 13, 2021

Attention Freshmen: The detergent is arriving today. Pick up will be after school on Thursday and Friday from 3-4 pm in the ag garage behind the high school. Please make arrangements to have someone pick up your order at this time. Please see Mrs. Scheiderer with any questions.

Senior class officers will meet at 9:30 in the guidance office on Thursday. Please be here by that time.

There will be a Science Club meeting during Laker Time at 8:20 on Friday in the cafeteria. Please wear your Science Club t-shirt for a group picture at that same time. See Mr. Steinbarger if you cannot attend.

Prom and After Prom tickets are on sale now in Mrs. DeLeeuw's room. Prom tickets are $20 and After Prom tickets are $10. Tickets will only be on sale until this Friday.

If you plan to bring a date to prom from another school, please pick up a guest admission form in the office. Forms need to be completed and returned by Friday, April 23rd.

If you signed up to take the April ACT this Saturday, please be here by 7:45. Make sure to have your ticket, Photo ID, and wear a mask. Please do not show up to ACT if you are exhibiting any symptoms of illness, have a fever, or have been quarantined due to exposure to covid. If you have any questions, stop by guidance and speak with Miss Weygandt. Don't forget you will need a calculator and pencils.

Seniors, please check your email and complete the “What's Your E” Google doc sent by Ms. Weygandt. This must be completed by Friday, April 16th in order to participate in signing day. Also please turn in the “What's Your E” Card to guidance.
Around the school you might have noticed orange papers about the Talent Show. At this point, we are not certain that we will be able to have a Talent Show but we want to find out how many of you would be interested in participating, if we should pursue it. Stop by and talk with Mrs. Kimball in the Foods Lab any time after first period as Mrs. Kimball is not at the high school during Laker Time or send her an email to let her know you are interested.

The Navy will be here Tuesday, April 20th for a lunchroom visit.

As the end of the school year approaches, the cafeteria is going to start letting items run out. You will still need to have money for extras; only a normal lunch is FREE. Seniors start watching the balance on your account. Mrs. Oda will be contacting you to see if you have siblings if you have money left on your account. Please try to use it all out by the end of the school year.

All juniors and seniors will attend a Pre-Career Expo presentation on Friday in the auditorium during Laker Time.

Prom and After Prom tickets go on sale today in Mrs. DeLeeuw's room. Prom tickets are $20 and After Prom tickets are $10. Tickets will only be on sale until next Friday.

There will be no Welding Club today.

If you plan on bringing a Prom date from another school, please pick up a Guest Admission form in the office. Forms need to be completed and turned in by Friday, April 23rd.

Attention Prom-goers: Peach Tree Boutique in Bellefontaine is offering at-school tuxedo fitting and rental on Monday, April 12th during all three lunch periods. Peach Tree will help you select a great tux and take your measurements right here at school! All you need to do is make a 50% deposit. Fittings will be done in the nurse's office. Peach Tree will even pick up your tux from the office on the Monday following prom. What could be easier? To view available tuxes and options stop by the office to pick up a flier with the information.

All juniors and seniors will attend a Pre-Career Expo presentation on Friday in the auditorium during Laker Time.

If you are interested in playing in the Save a Life Golf Scramble at Liberty Hills Golf Course on Saturday, April 24th, you can pick up a registration form in the office. Early registration includes a t-shirt. Proceeds benefit the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Logan and Champaign counties.

Key Club officers will meet in the cafeteria at 8:05 today.

SADD members will have a short meeting this morning in the library at 8:05. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Metzger as soon as possible.

Varsity Baseball and Varsity Softball players will be released at 2:45 today. The bus leaves at 3:00.

The NHS meeting scheduled for Thursday this week has been cancelled.

The FFA Chapter meeting scheduled for Friday has been moved to Thursday. Members will meet in the auditorium tomorrow at 8:05.

There will be no Improv Club today.

There will be no Quiz Bowl practice today. The next practices will be Monday and Wednesday of next week.

All freshmen going on the Washington, DC trip will meet this morning in the auditorium at 8:15.

Then, take a moment to close your eyes and picture yourself in the year 2022. Imagine all of the amazing skills you're developing, all of the qualities you're cultivating, and the awesome person you are becoming. Now, open your eyes and begin creating the person you saw in your mind.

Are you looking for a summer job? The guidance office has information on several summer job opportunities in a variety of different areas. Businesses looking for help include Home Away from Home Kennels, Easton Water and Ohio Caverns. If any of these sound interesting stop in to the guidance office for more information.
