Indian Lake National Honor Society members recognized 28 new potential inductees during a recent socially-distanced ceremony.
Current members explained the qualities of Scholarship, Character, Leadership and Service that a student must exemplify to be considered for the society. Then they announced each new potential NHS member by reading their resume of activities and accomplishments so far.
Beyond having a 3.5 grade point average, Indian Lake students must be involved in music, sports, service clubs or other activities to be considered, plus complete an application and essay. Teachers, other instructors and club advisors make the final selections.
This year’s inductees are: Tori Blanks, Dylan Carter, Kendall Cotterman, Allison Culp, Kayla Cummins,
Logan Evans, Kyle Faulder, Dustin Franks, Shania Fruchey, Trenton Fulkerson, Cheyenne Hill, Nathan Huffman, Kaleb Hurley, Luke Jackson, Easton Klauer, Ethan Knief, Chelsea Lariva, KaLynn Miller (not pictured), Lane McPherson, Paige Monroe, Macie Robinson, Carson Shepherd, Ethan Snapp, Lindsey Spofford, Kayli Tussing, Reid Vance, Rachel Wahl and Melanie Watson.
The group will be officially inducted into National Honor Society during the Logan County NHS Banquet at Indian Lake Schools on November 9th at 6:30 pm. The ILHS NHS Club meets the first Wednesday of every month.
