Students in the mulitple handicap unit at Indian Lake High School will be able to learn additional life skills thanks to a recent donation.

Russells Point Knights of Columbus Council 4378 Officer Dan Niese presented a $400 check to the class.

Educators Donna Elson and Amy Esaleh expressed their sincere thanks. Elson says the money will be used to purchase functional living items to give students a greater opportunity to learn motor skills and every day skills, such as budgeting money and purchasing items.

Indian Lake High School houses two MH clasrooms for the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center, serving 17 total Logan County students.

Part of the mission for members of the Knights of Columbus is to support individuals with developmental disabitilites through fundraisers. Niese says this gift was raised through several efforts including the group’s food booth at the Indian Lake State Park Fall Festival.
