Mrs. Rapp and Mrs. Siterhoff meet with members of the Class of 2019 to being scheduling for their Senior year.

We've only just finished the second quarter grading period and already it's time to start planning for next school year!

ILHS guidance counselors Valarie Rapp and Lakeisha Stierhoff met with the Class of 2019 recently to continue formulating plans for their senior year and further into the future.

Rapp asked students, "What is your Plan A? And What is your Plan B if that doesn't work out? You need to be seriously considering your options."

Whether a student is thinking about attending a 4-year or 2-year college, joining the military or entering the workforce after graduation, the counselors explained that this is a critical time for making decisions. Rapp encouraged the juniors to schedule a few college or company visits and Stierhoff suggested talking with their parents about classes and options for next school year.

Finally, juniors received their transcripts and scheduling sheets. They'll begin meeting individually with Mrs. Stierhoff and Mrs. Rapp now to set up classes and programs for Fall 2018. Counselors will be meeting with underclassmen and 8th graders in the coming weeks to work on their schedules for next year as well.

The 2018-19 ILHS Course Descriptions Booklets are available now in the Guidance Office and will be posted on the Guidance website.
