ILHS Senior Tony Cummins is excited to enter the world of work with a good plan for learning more skills and continuing the family business.
Upon graduation from high school, Tony will apply and join the the Plumbers, Pipefitters and Service Technicians Local #776 of Lima to begin formal welding and construction training. He hopes to do industrial welding while continuing to farm near Lewistown. His older brother, Nate, is already part of organization.

Indian Lake High School volleyball standout Devin Rice is taking her big heart and big hitting to Muskingum University. She is #enrolled and ready to move into a middle hitter role for the Muskies and Coach Hallie Cruzen. Off the court, Devin plans to study Nursing in hopes of becoming a Hospice nurse.
She says, "It's important to be emphatic and it's important that people have someone to care for them in their life, even if it's at the very end."

ILHS Senior Landen Wisener has already entered the world of work, but he has further plans!
Wisener works part-time at the Lakeside Pro Bass now and works on a black top crew for Robinson Asphalt Seal Coating in the summer. Once he graduates and turns 18, he plans to join the Plumbers, Pipefitters and Service Technicians Local #776 of Lima to begin formal welding training. Wisener has already taken several welding classes at ILHS.

ILHS Senior Autumn Miller's calling is to work with little kids! She is already accepted and #enrolled in Ashland University's Early Childhood Education program.
Autumn says, "I want to help kids early on. I want them to be able to build upon their skills because they had a good foundation from the start with a caring teacher."
She chose Ashland University because it's not too close to home, but not too far away. Plus it's ranked top five in the nation for education programs.

ILHS Senior Geona Spires is committed to become one of the few, the proud, the Marines!
Spires is enlisted and already attending military trainings on the weekends in Ohio. Her official signing ceremony will happen in a few weeks. She plans to become a Military Police Officer.
“I was just always interested in the military and being an officer, so I put the two together.”
She continues, “I want to see how hard I can push myself and be pushed physically and mentally.”
Spires is inspired by her uncle, who is a Captain is the Marines. She will attend Boot Camp at Parris Island next summer, then move on to MP training late in the fall.

ILHS Senior Carlie Nickel did not grow up on a farm, but her time in FFA has truly influenced her future!
Carlie is already accepted and #enrolled in Wilmington College to study to become an Agriculture Educator. She says her involvement in the ILHS/OHP FFA program inspired her.
"It's something different everyday. I have been behind the scenes in so many activities in our program, I just know that's what I want to do."
Carlie has really enjoyed helping introduce elementary students to FFA during annual Ag Experience Days. She serves as the Assistant Reporter for the chapter and she was a member of the national champion Big E Poultry Judging Team in 2022. Carlie has shown chickens in 4-H for the past several years and she is currently raising turkeys in the on-campus FFA barn to sell and donate to local food pantries at Thanksgiving.

ILHS Senior Becca Bihn is our very first #3E of the 2023-24 school year!
If you know Becca, then you know she loves taking care of people and she's been planning to become a nurse for a long time. Becca is all set to study at Edison State next year in hopes of earning a Registered Nurse degree and working in a children's hospice unit.
She said, "I like children and I've always wanted to be a nurse, so I think helping kids in the hospital is the best path for me."
