Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year
Dear Indian Lake High School Families,
As we prepare to begin the 2026–27 school year, I want to express what an honor it is to serve as the principal of Indian Lake High School. Our team has been working diligently this summer to ensure we are ready to welcome students back on August 19th. Student safety, academic excellence, and personal growth remain at the heart of everything we do.
In preparation for graduation, students are required to earn 22 credits and meet additional requirements set by the Ohio Department of Education, which vary by graduating class. You can review your child’s graduation pathway here:
Ohio Graduation Requirements »
We will meet with any senior who has not yet fulfilled these requirements during the first week of school to help them get started on tutoring or an alternate graduation pathway.
We will continue to implement R Factor training, which teaches students how to manage their behavior and responses in challenging situations. The foundational concept is:
E + R = O — Event + Response = Outcome
This model empowers students to focus on how their responses shape their results, both in school and in life.
To streamline paperwork, families will again use LINQ Connect to complete all school and athletic forms online only. Forms can be submitted here:

We will also continue to use our voice, text, and email alert system for important notifications.
All students will be issued a Chromebook again this year. A $30 insurance fee must be paid and all online forms must be submitted before a device will be issued.
We remain committed to preparing students for life beyond high school—whether that’s through College Credit Plus, military service, direct-to-workforce opportunities, or college education. Our partnerships with local businesses, manufacturers, and the Logan County Chamber of Commerce help bring these pathways to life.
On behalf of the entire ILHS team, thank you for your continued support. Please explore our website at ils-k12.org for updates and resources, and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions. Together, let’s make 2026–27 a great year for our students!
