Members of the Senior Class of 2022 gathered at the start of school to highlight important dates and lay out expectations.
All seniors met with ILHS Principal Kyle Wagner, Assistant Principal Dave Coburn, and Guidance Counselors Greg Tuttle and Alice Weygandt.
Miss Weygandt urged the seniors to work hard all through the year, "It's important to keep your grades up because your transcripts will be sent to colleges or employers. You need to keep your eye on the prize!"
She encouraged seniors to have a special folder to keep important college or employer information, to check their email daily and to pay attention to deadlines.
The guidance counselors also touched on important dates involving college visits, FAFSA, college deadlines, armed forces lunch visits, ACT information and scholarship deadlines.
Mr. Tuttle advised, "You are passed summer job time. You are at the career/occupation time. You need to be thinking about what job you'd like to do for your life and we will plan for that."
Each senior will meet with counselors in the next fews weeks to continue to working toward graduation requirements and beyond.
