Indian Lake/Ohio Hi-Point Senior Kayden Taylor is joining the United States Army!
He explains, "I decided to enlist because I wanted to prove to myself that I can achieve anything I put my mind to and the Army provided great learning opportunities."
Taylor is currently studying Criminal Justice at OHP and his Army contract is for 17E Electronic Warfare.
He plans to use the Army to pay for a degree in History. After retiring from the Army, Taylor plans to join the FBI.

ILHS Senior Bryan Mohler is hoping to take his welding skills on the road. Mohler plans to apply to the UA Local #776 Plumbers, Pipefitters and Service Technicians upon graduation. He has taken Welding at ILHS and participated in Welding Club. Mohler aims to become a journeyman and he wants to weld pipelines that supply fuel to the United States. Bryan says he would even love to work on the Alaskan pipeline.

ILHS Senior Carter Dawson loves to work with his hands and he is eager to be #employed. He has already applied and is hoping to be hired to work at Marker Construction upon his graduation in May.
Dawson says he has worked for local construction companies over the past two summers and he is excited to work on large projects being built in our area.

ILHS Senior Elijah Wolf is all set to fly the friendly skies upon gradation! Wolf recently earned his Private Pilot License and he has a flight plan in place.
"I will finish all of my pilots ratings work as a certified flight instructor and eventually work my way to a commercial airline job," explains Elijah.
Until then, he will work locally at Midwest Corporate Air, Inc. based out of the Bellefontaine Regional Airport.

ILHS Senior Jasmine Kingery is #enrolled early and ready to help others. She is already accepted at Rhodes State in Lima to study social work under the major Addictions, Mental Health and Social Work.
She says, "I want to help people. I want to provide compassion and empathy for those who need it."
Jasmine works part time at McDonalds of Indian Lake and she plans to continue that job while in college.

October is World Manufacturing Month and ILHS senior Braylon Washington is ready to play a role in the global supply chain!
Washington plans to apply and work at NKP Parts near East Liberty. His mom has been an employee there for a few years and Braylon wants to joint the warehousing team. He says the company is always looking for new employees and he is excited to do the job to the best of his ability!

We are proud to recognize ILHS senior Evin Parker as our first 2024-25 3E Spotlight!
Parker is enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He will report to Basic Training at Parris Island, South Carolina the day after he graduates from ILHS is May.
Parker has dreamed of becoming a marine since he was in elementary school.
He says, "I love the brotherhood, the opportunity to see the world and I love to shoot guns."
Parker already participates in voluntary physical trainings twice a week and mandatory trainings once a month to prepare. Evin says he wants to make being a Marine his career for life.
