Indian Lake students who want to learn about working in public service will again have the opportunity to participate in one of Ohio’s most valuable programs for young adults.
ILHS seniors boys who attended Buckeye Boys State last summer spoke about their experience with this year's junior boys recently.
The week-long educational experience on an Ohio college campus in June focuses on teaching students about government by creating a mini-state, with students choosing to learn and perform actual jobs at either the city, county or state level.
Last year, Jonathan Henry, Rece Kimmel and Brant Parsell represented Indian Lake at the event at Miami University.
Buckeye Boys’ State is sponsored locally by the Huntsville American Legion Post 381 and several individuals. Interviews will take place in the next few weeks to determine this summer's selected students. Interested students should sign up in the ILHS Guidance Office.
